Stage Crafters’ second show of the year will be "The Little Mermaid," and auditions will be held at 7 p.m. May 17 and 18 at Stage Crafters Rehearsal Hall, 40 Robinwood Drive in Fort Walton Beach.

Check-in and scripts will be available at 6:30 p.m.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."

The cast consists of two major female roles and six major male roles. A large ensemble cast will be needed to play an important part in "The Little Mermaid" as they double in many roles. Ages for both male and female roles range from 18 and older. Prepared audition materials are not necessary as Stage Crafters will be auditioning from the script.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as there will be vocal, dance and acting auditions. Please try to attend both nights of auditions.
