Ryan Gosling at Kennedy Space Center for 'First Man' — again

Hey, girl: Ryan Gosling's coming back to the Space Coast.
And he's not alone.
The "First Man" actor, who filmed scenes for the Neil Armstrong biopic at Kennedy Space Center in early February, flies into town this weekend for a special screening of his film. Gosling's co-star Claire Foy (Netflix's "The Crown) and director Damien Chazell ("La La Land" and "Whiplash") will be at KSC, too.
"First Man" spotlights NASA's mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Armstrong and the years 1961-69. The space movie explores the sacrifices and the cost— on Armstrong and the nation — of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
Academy Award winner Josh Singer ("Spotlight") wrote the screenplay.
The stars have been making the rounds on the red carpet to promote the biographic film that's based on the book of the same name, written by James Hansen. In August, "First Man" received a glamorous welcome in Italy opening the Venice Film Festival. The film's received good reviews so far.

Buzz on the Space Coast
Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon on July 20, 1969.
Plans are in place on the Space Coast to celebrate the milestone. Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, calls the Space Coast home. In the latest Armstrong biopic, Corey Stoll (Marvel's "Ant-Man") plays Aldrin.
Gosling filmed scenes for "First Man" the week of Feb. 5. While here, he watched the inaugural launch of SpaceX's Falcon Heavy with Aldrin at KSC.
The 37-year-old Gosling, Stoll, actor Lukas Haas, Robert Hatch, and Pablo Schreiber filmed a Vehicle Assembly Building and crawler scene.
Be sure to look for cameos by astronaut Michael Collins and his family, and Mark and Rick Armstrong, sons of Neil Armstrong in "First Man."
In 2017, Gosling was nominated for a best actor Academy Award for "La La Land" and has two daughters with actress Eva Mendes. He's best known for his roles in "The Notebook" and "The Place Beyond the Pines," which co-starred Mendes.
"First Man" opens Oct. 12.
