The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County invites artists to apply to exhibit in the 31st annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival happening May 11-12 in South Walton.

Artists are invited to apply in the categories of mixed media, ceramics, works on paper, fiberglass, jewelry, metal, oils & acrylics, photography, digital art, sculpture, and wood (including furniture).

ArtsQuest is the kick-off event for Art Month South Walton, which is an initiative of the CAA. The purpose of Art Month is to bring communities, organizations and businesses together to present quality arts and entertainment to the community. Spanning the month of May, Art Month features visual, performing and literary arts programming in diverse formats and various venues throughout South Walton.

The ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival takes place in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Town Center. There will be live music, food vendors and a full cash bar, along with existing restaurants in Grand Boulevard.

Artists who apply before Jan. 31 will receive an early bird jury ($40) and booth rate fee, starting at $300. Beginning Feb. 1, jury fees will increase to $45 and booth fees will increase to $325 and up. The final application deadline is March 8.

Jurying is by art industry professionals. Previous year award winners from the 2018 ArtsQuest show do not need to submit jury fee and will be automatically admitted into the 2019 ArtsQuest show should they meet the application deadline.

Awards are given based on the judges’ scoring of each artist’s body of work as displayed in the booth. ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival is a Cultural Arts Alliance signature event and helps the group fulfill its mission to bring high-quality artistic experiences to the community.
