The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast will host Sixth Annual Stake & Burger at 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Hilton Sandestin. Baytowne Art Walk

The annual event will be held from 5-10 p.m. Aug. 30-Sept.1 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Each evening stroll the Village streets as you browse a variety of artwork from both regional and local artists. Enjoy live music throughout the festival from local artists and a fireworks show over the lagoon on Sunday at 9:15 p.m. The main stage at the Events Plaza will feature live music with Casey Kearney and Scott Rockwood on Friday; Coconut Radio and Matt McCarty on Saturday; and Jessie Ritter and Matt McCarty Sunday.

Labor Day Concert Celebration

HarborWalk Village sends summer off with a bang on the Main Stage with Flash Flood from 7-9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 and Flying High from 6:30-9 p.m. Sept. 1 followed by fireworks over the harbor and Fire Spinning from Just Add Fire.

Kevin Black Benefit Concert

American Legion Post 296, 311 Main Street in Destin, and Kevin Black will host a benefit concert for the Raising a Hand for Rett Foundation and local charities and veteran organizations, from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 2. Admission is $5 at the door and includes a ticket for the main raffle. Other raffles will be offered during the concert. Food will be available, with a pulled pork sandwich plate for $10. Raising a Hand for Rett Foundation raises awareness and helps fund research for this disease which affects mostly girls and sadly took Kevin Black's daughter at the age of 16. ADSO Window Gallery Display

To provide a convenient Art Gallery for the community, the Arts and Design Society presents month-long free exhibits in their studio windows, facing First Street, Fort Walton Beach. In September, the display for easy viewing features the art of Tuny Jennings, who works in mixed media, with an emphasis on color and texture. Her work, in folk art style, is limited to one subject — cats, that she feels are works of art in themselves. The Art Center Gallery is at 17 First Street, SE.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)

Your favorite trio is back at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5-7, 12-14, and 20-21 with the return of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) at The REP in Seaside. Night at the Museum

The Heritage Museum presents its annual Night at the Museum at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at 115 Westview Ave. in Valparaiso. Tours will be provided in conjunction with friends from StageCrafters. Makin’ Bacon 4 Beds

A new event at Destin Commons from 12-4 p.m. Sept. 7, Makin’ Bacon 4 Beds will highlight local eateries and their take on a bacon themed food item. There will be live music by the Hollard Band, an auction with repurposed headboards painted by local artists, craft vendors and a People’s Choice winner. In addition, participants will have a chance to win $10, 000 sponsored by Certainty Home Loans. Samples are only $1, so come out and support a great cause and try them all. All proceeds will benefit A Bed 4 Me Foundation, a local non profit providing beds for children in Okaloosa county who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor or in other inadequate spaces.

Concerts in the Village

Rust & Gold, the most authentic sounding tribute band to Neil Young and Crazy Horse capturing the essence of Neil Young's vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and electric sound, performs at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, 4323 Commons Drive W in Destin. Bring a bottle of wine, your favorite craft beer, some snacks and a blanket or chair. Food and drinks available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at the door with general admission $15 per adult and free to MKAF members and kids under 12.

• Oct. 3: Déjà vu delivers a wide range of music from Motown, R&B and classic rock though today's best hits with finesse and energy that leave audiences wanting more.

• Oct. 10: Forrest Williams Band will cover a variety of music, blending an acoustic guitar and harmonica as they take the stage for the concert series finale.

ADSO Window Gallery Display

To provide a convenient Art Gallery for the Community, the Arts and Design Society, 17 First Street SE, presents month-long free exhibits in their studio windows, in Fort Walton Beach. In August, the art on display for easy viewing, “Inspired by Dale Gauvin,” is a collection of art pieces by Dale and the students in his popular Tuesday class. The exhibit covers a wide range of subjects. Dale, a well-known artist who teaches the “Old Masters” and other techniques, paints and exhibits primarily in oils.

Family Fun Fest

The Arts and Design Society is hosting a tour of artists’ studios beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the ADSO Art Center, 17 First Street, SE in Fort Walton Beach. Participants will be carpooling to five different artists’ studios in the Fort Walton Beach area, where they will meet the artists, see their spaces, and learn how they work in their different mediums. The tour, which includes a light lunch break at one of the studios, will end at ADSO at approximately 3 p.m., when more refreshments and door prizes (art donated by participating artists) will be featured. Cost of the tour is $20/members and $25/non-members, which includes a door prize ticket and refreshments. Since space is limited, reservations must be made and paid for by Sept. 1. Call to Artists: Fine Arts Show

The Arts and Design Society is calling all artists to participate in the upcoming 36th Northwest Florida Fair Fine Arts Show Sept. 24-28, open to all artists, in any medium. Cash awards. Artists must turn in works for the show from 12-5 p.m. Sept. 20 and 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 21. Destin Seafood Festival

The 41st Annual Destin Seafood Festival on the Destin harbor will be held Oct. 4-6 with live music, arts and crafts, and fresh seafood. Entertainment on the Main Stage Friday includes De JaVu, 4-5:30 p.m.; Flash Flood, 6-8 p.m.; and The Manly Hero, 8:15-10 p.m. Saturday music includes The Good Lookings from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Tyler Livingston from 2-4:30 p.m.; Ben Loftin and the Family from 5-7:30 p.m.; and I'MAGENE from 8-10 p.m. Duende begins the Sunday music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by Sway JaVu, 1:30-3:30 p.m. and Heritage from 4-6 p.m.

Rocktober Nights

Watch the Destin Fishing Rodeo catches hit the docks with daily weigh-ins from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. then rock out to a free concert with Scenic Heights at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 on the HarborWalk Village main stage.

Firkin Fête

The inaugural Alys Beach Firkin Fête will take place at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25 on Kelly Green in Alys Beach with participating breweries showcasing their special brews in a distinctive cask ale, called a firkin. An eclectic and unique tasting experience in an elegantly rustic setting, Firkin Fête will surely become a great tradition for ushering in cooler, crisper weather along the Gulf Coast beaches. There will also be live music, craft cocktails, bourbon and wine tastings to compliment the evening’s activities. The event will feature a Thursday, Oct. 24, mix-and-mingle at the Grayton Beer Taproom from 6:30-9 p.m. with live music and food by the Grayton Beer Brewpub. Guests will meet the brewers from the participating breweries and get to learn first hand the excitement around tapping a firkin. Pumpkinpalooza – Friday Night Frights

Join HarborWalk Village for a spooky showing of the Halloween classic The Nightmare Before Christmas at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 on the HarborWalk Main Stage. Donations from the weekend will go to Hurricane Michael Relief.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast Season

The symphony orchestra, led by Music and Artistic Director Demetrius Fuller, presents an “out of this world” lineup of concerts, guest artists and educational initiatives during the coming season. At 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26, the Sinfonia presents Tony and Olivier Award-winning singer and actor Gavin Creel at Seagar's Prime Steaks & Seafood. The evening includes valet parking, a sparkling wine reception, four-course meal, wine, all gratuities, and the performance. Proceeds benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast and its music education programs. Nov. 15: The annual gala at The Henderson brings the Northwest Florida debut of Vanessa Williams, one of the most respected and multi-faceted performers in entertainment today. The evening begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $295 per person, which includes valet parking, VIP reception, dinner, cash bar, gratuities, and performance.

Nov. 23: Sinfonia is “Mad for Mozart” for its first Silver Sands Premium Outlets’ Classical Connections of the season at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. with young Concert Artists Award winner, violinist SooBeen Lee. Tickets range from $29.50 to $45 per person.

Dec. 13: Sinfonia's festive holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. features singer/actor of stage and screen Matthew Morrison, who performs cherished and festive holiday medleys, plus many of the songs that he has performed throughout his career. Tickets range from $29.50 to $55 per person.

Feb. 1: The second installment of the Silver Sands Premium Outlets’ Classical Connections Series will be at 7:30 p.m. at Village Baptist Church and features 2017 Bronze Medalist of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and two icons of Russian orchestral music, Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

May 16: The main season will come to a cinematic finale at the Emerald Coast Convention Center with “Jurassic Park in Concert.” Experience it projected in HD with Sinfonia Gulf Coast performing John Williams’ iconic score live to picture.

May 24: The season comes to an official close with Sinfonia Goes Pops!, presented al fresco on the amphitheater lawn at Alys Beach at 7:30 p.m. This patriotic, family-friendly concert is free and open to the public and concludes with a festive firework display.

LIVE@TheREP Concert

Blood is thicker than water and there’s nothing like family creating music together to prove it. With contrasting blood-harmonies and left-handed/right-handed guitar playing, singer-songwriter duo The Talbott Brothers combine rock, blues and pop with honest storytelling. Pumpkinpalooza – Booze & Boo’s Bingo Pub Crawl

"When witches go riding, and black cats are seen. The moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween." An evening of revelry, killer drink specials and fun awaits from 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 26 at HarborWalk Village. Enjoy a bingo-style pub crawl featuring craft cocktails and frighteningly good food from Village restaurants, live music by Tyler Livingston and an adult costume contest at Coyote Ugly to end the night. Starting at 7 p.m., 300 free Pub Crawl Bingo Cards will be given to the first ghouls and goblins to arrive. The Fantasticks

Longest-running musical in the world, The Fantasticks will be presented by Emerald Coast Theatre Company Sept, 26 through Oct. 6 at 560 Upstairs at Grand Boulevard. The funny and romantic musical about a boy, a girl, and their two fathers who try to keep them apart is for ages 12 and over.

Throwback Thursday Cinema

Grab your lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxing evening with “Tarzan” at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Free.

Golf Cart Drive-In

Join in a nostalgic tradition with a modern twist, a classic drive-in movie for golf carts, at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in October at North Park in Grand Boulevard. Popcorn will be provided. Bring your own beverages. Don’t have a cart? Just bring a blanket or chair.

Wellness Wednesdays

Every Wednesday morning in the month of October. Grand Fitness will host a complimentary 50 minute group fitness class at 9 a.m. in Grand Park at Grand Boulevard.

Pumpkinpalooza – Spook Street

Have a Spooktacular time celebrating Halloween on the Harbor from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 27 at HarborWalk Village. This family-friendly event kicks off with a scavenger hunt and free kid’s activities. The first 200 to arrive will receive scavenger hunt cards. Village merchants will be providing goodies galore. Visit each shop and restaurant for a treat. Costume contest registration begins at 6 p.m. Contest begins at 6:30 p.m. Categories include Kids 0-4, 5-9, 10-12 as well as pets and families. The evening ends with a boo-ming fireworks display over the harbor. Donations from the weekend will go to Hurricane Michael Relief.

Blues, Brews & BBQ

Fire up the grills, tap the kegs and crank up the tunes for HarborWalk Village’s 12th annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival from 12-4 p.m. Nov. 8. This barbecue block party will fill the docks with the aroma of smoky ribs and pulled pork as more than 15 of the area’s finest restaurants compete in a spirited and fun BBQ competition, offering samples of creative BBQ styles and specialty. Prizes will be awarded to the top winners in each category. Destin Crafted

Local company Wine World will once again team up with The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa to host an exclusive craft beer and bourbon tasting event raising funds for Children in Crisis from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 9 on the scenic pool deck and lawn at The Henderson. Featured will be hundreds of samples from over 40 renowned small-production breweries and distilleries alongside food from Destin’s favorite eateries with live music entertainment and more. Guests will also have the option to enter a raffle for a grand prize, raising additional funds for the charity. Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market

The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in Grand Park in Miramar Beach between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama’s. Vendors will offer locally sourced food-based items including produce, eggs, milk, butter, grass-fed beef, chicken, lamb, and pork, honey, pickled vegetables and gourmet jams. Market is held on Wednesdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
