Tequila & Taco Fest

The 9th Annual Tequila & Taco Fest is May 6-8 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf, 9100 Baytowne Ave., Miramar Beach. Local restaurants will be competing for the Best Taco and Best Margarita on The Emerald Coast! It is 6 p.m. May 6 through 2 p.m. May 8. Crawfish Bash

The 10th Annual Destin Rotary Crawfish Bash will feature fresh crawfish, live music and more. It benefits area organizations and funds Rotary scholarships for area students. Brian Kelley concert

Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line will be "Rockin The Block" in his solo Made By the Water Tour. His special guest is The Boat Boys. The show starts at 7 p.m. May 6 at The Block, 113 Eglin Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach. Online ticket sales have ended, but tickets may be available at the door. Burning up the Beaches Car Show

The Burning up the Beaches Car Show is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 at Destin Commons, with net proceeds going to ARC of the Emerald Coast. A deejay and live music, as well an 11 a.m. Valve Cover Race will be part of the fun. Scurto book signing, ArtQuest Festival

Destin author and illustrator Andi Scurto, author of “The Accidental Adventure of Mattie the Giraffe,” will hold a meet-the-artist event and book signing at ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival on May 7-8 in Miramar Beach.

“I’ll be displaying all original illustrations from the book, have small souvenirs like Mattie mugs and cards, small works of art with Mattie that I call ‘Mattie calfies’ and I’ll be painting a giant Mattie piece where her spots start to drip off,” said Scurto.

The 34th annual ArtQuest is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.Saturday, May 7, and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday, May 8 at Grand Boulevard Town Center, Grand Boulevard, Miramar Beach, Florida. Admission is a $5 donation.

Carver-Hill Mother's Day

Carver-Hill Memorial & Historical Society will have a Mother's Day Luncheon at the Carver Hill Center, 461 School Ave., Crestview.

Comedian Ryan Niemiller

Comedian Ryan Niemiller, finalist from America’s Got Talent Season 14, and local comedians will perform  May 7 in Destin. Two shows are scheduled.

Ryan Niemiller, comedian and third place finalist from America’s Got Talent Season 14, will perform at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. May 7 at HarborWalk Theater, 10 Harbor Blvd. Unit 234, Destin. Local comedians will also be featured. Despite being born with a disability in both arms, Niemiller, the self-proclaimed “Cripple Threat of Comedy,” shares his views of the world from the perspective of the handicapped (and very handsome). Marina grand opening

Beach Weekend will host its marina grand opening party 2-6 p.m. May 7 at 12 Miracle Strip Parkway, Fort Walton Beach. The family-friendly event includes live music by Black-Eyed Blonde, giveaways hosted by Highway 98 Country and Rock 92.1, free drink tickets, boat rides, paddle boarding, kids activities and more.

Sip and Paint with ADSO

The Arts and Design Society offers a Sip and Paint Class with Pat Z. Roberts 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at its building, 17 First St. SE, Fort Walton Beach. Cost of the class is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. All supplies are included. The theme of this session is “A Cool Woodland Creek.” Students may bring their beverage of choice to enjoy while learning to paint with acrylics and enhance their skills. The 2022 Bowlegs Pub Crawl begins 5 p.m. May 12 in downtown Fort Walton Beach. Participants may visit participating locations to get a pub crawl card, get those stamped at all locations, and turn it in at The Block, 113 Eglin Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, by 9 p.m. for a chance to win prizes.

Niceville Senior Center Foundation prom

The Niceville Senior Center Foundation will host the second annual Senior Prom for Senior Center members (aged 55 and better). They and their guests will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, music and dancing, commemorative photos and the crowning of Prom King and Queen.

“An Evening Under the Stars” is 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 13, at the Senior Center at 201 Campbell Drive.

Parrothead music festival

The Emerald Coast Parrot Head Club music festival, "Tailgates Down, Phriends All Around,"  is May 13 and 14 at Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Center, 4323 Commons Drive, Destin. The gate opens 3 p.m. Friday, May 13. ECTC

Emerald Coast Community Theatre's Jr. Thespian/Company Showcase is May 21, 2:30 p.m. — featuring group and solo works by ECTC teens. The evening will include classic and contemporary musical theatre pieces, improv, and comedic and dramatic selections.

Adopt-A-Street

The City of Destin’s Adopt-A-Street Program allows local families, businesses and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a street to keep clear of litter and debris. Groups who participate in this program will have their name listed on the City’s website and signage installed on their adopted street. Grand Boulevard Farmers Market

Grand Boulevard Farmers Market takes place every Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grand Park in the heart of Grand Boulevard in South Walton.
