Navarre Beach Annual Military Appreciation Picnic
The event is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 14 at the Manta Ray Pavilion in Navarre Beach Marine Park at 8705 Gulf Blvd. It honors all active-duty and retired military families in the region.

Average Joe Car Show
The Spanish Trail Cruisers Annual Average Joe Car Show registration is 8-11 a.m. May 14 on Main Street in Crestview. Judging follows at 11 a.m. and trophy presentations are at 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy browsing the cars and and vendors' booths. Go to Spanishtrailcruisers.org for more information.
Navarre Paddle Classic
The inaugural Navarre Paddle Classic fundraiser is from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. May 14 at the Navarre Beach Marine Park at 8739 Gulf Blvd. to benefit the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (https://navarrebeachseaturtles.org).
The day includes paddle races for all levels, multiple paddle craft and age categories, race clinics, beginner paddleboard lessons by ACA-certified instructors, SUP Yoga and more.

The Emerald Coast Science Center will have Planetarium Night sessions 5:30-8 p.m. May 19 at 31 Memorial Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach. Explore the constellations, solar system and more in the center's inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Tickets are $8-10 depending on age. The City of Destin’s Adopt-A-Street Program allows local families, businesses and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a street to keep clear of litter and debris.
