Xanadu: The Musical

Xanadu

The final performances of Xanadu: The Musical are scheduled at the Emerald Coast Theatre Company, 560 Grand Blvd. Suite 200, Miramar Beach. Remaining dates are May 20, 21 and 22 at the theatre. The 10 event

This concert, provided by Birds Eye View Ent. & DaWayMaker Group, starts at noon May 21 at the Old Spanish Trail Pavilion, 201 Stillwell Blvd., Crestview. ECTC

Emerald Coast Community Theatre's Jr. Thespian/Company Showcase is May 21, 2:30 p.m. — featuring group and solo works by ECTC teens. The evening will include classic and contemporary musical theatre pieces, improv, and comedic and dramatic selections.

Emerald Coast Mud Run For Orphans is 8 a.m. May 21 at Northwest Florida State College, 100 E. College Blvd., Niceville. NWF Ballet Concert

Adopt-A-Street

The City of Destin’s Adopt-A-Street Program allows local families, businesses and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a street to keep clear of litter and debris. Groups who participate in this program will have their name listed on the City’s website and signage installed on their adopted street. Grand Boulevard Farmers Market

Grand Boulevard Farmers Market takes place every Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grand Park in the heart of Grand Boulevard in South Walton. Come browse the 30A Farmers Market in Rosemary Beach on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The local farmers market takes place on Sundays year round, and Thursdays throughout the summer months, in North Barrett Square along Scenic 30A.

Taylor Dayne concert

An open air concert featuring pop icon Taylor Dayne is 7 p.m. May 26 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, 4323 Commons Drive W, Destin. Dayne became an international star overnight with the single, Tell It To My Heart in 1987. She is also known for her number one singles Love Will Lead You Back, Prove Your Love and I’ll Always Love You. Bring a bottle of wine, your favorite craft beer, some delicious snacks, and a blanket or chair. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase. Corey Mack comedy night

Suggested for ages 18 and up, Corey Mack's Unfiltered Stand-Up Comedy Night is 8:30 p.m. May 25 at Lucille's Music Hall, 60 Seascape Drive, Destin. Wag the Flag

Wag the Flag, a patriotic-themed dog social hosted by  Dog-Harmony, starts at 5:30 p.m. May 26 at Grand Park in Sandestin, 495 Grand Blvd., Miramar Beach. Complete with beer, wine, light bites from JC's Gourmet, music and  raffle prizes, this event will feature a dog costume contest. For a $15 donation, attendees may enter to win a first or second place prize, and compete to have their dogs named the "Most Patriotic Pup." There will also be professional photographs sponsored by Mills Photo Design. Organizers request that no prong, shock or choke collars be used at the event.
