Emerald Coast Community Band
The Emerald Coast Community Band, which performs concerts several times a year, is looking for new members. There are no try-outs or auditions. Call to Artists: 56th Annual Beaux Arts Exhibition
The Arts and Design Society invites all artists to submit works for the 56th Annual Beaux Arts Exhibition, hosted by The Meridian at Westwood and sponsored by the Arts and Design Society. Registration is in the Atrium of The Meridian at Westwood, 1001 Mar Walt Drive, Fort Walton Beach, from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 5. Entry fee is $25, members; $35, non-members, with a limit of two entries.
The exhibition runs from Feb. 6-8. Judge for the event is Ann Waters, professor of Fine & Performing Arts at Northwest Florida State College. For further information and entry form, visit www.artsdesignsociety.org or call 582-1329.
Country music at American Legion
Kevin Black, country performer and brother of Clint, will perform from 2-7 p.m. Feb. 16 in the lounge at American Legion Post 296, 311 Main Street in Destin. Drawings will be held every hour for CDs, etc., with the main drawing around 6 p.m. for an autographed Clint Black guitar.
The cover charge is $5 and includes one ticket for autographed guitar. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The money will go to veterans’ organizations supported by American Legion, including a veterans nursing home in Panama City.
