Debut of ‘Art’

Irish StreetFest, Grogg March

Cattle Barons’ Ball
Cowboys and cowgirls, don your casual Western wear and ride into the 2015 Cattle Barons’ Ball at 6 p.m. March 14 at Linkside at Sandestin to “Give Cancer the Silver Bullet” with a Lone Ranger and Tonto theme. The event features live entertainment with The Modern Eldorados, live and silent auctions, gaming, complimentary drinks, and fancy vittles from the area’s leading restaurants and caterers. The Cattle Barons’ Ball will benefit the American Cancer Society by raising funds for cancer research, advocacy, education and patient services. ArtWalk on the Harbor
HarborWalk Village becomes a mini art district as dozens of artists showcase their creative artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary art, jewelry, paintings, handcrafted items and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15 and April 19 at HarborWalk Village. ADSO Luncheon
Laura Destin and Tony Akers, co-owners of A Ceramic Studio and Hobby Shop in Valparaiso, will be the speakers at the ADSO Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 25 at the Art Center Gallery 17 First St. in Fort Walton Beach. The couple works in their shop with adults and children, creating fun and practical works of art with poured clay and paint. They also conduct Fused Glass workshops and hold after school classes for children. Cost of the luncheon, open to the public, is $12. Starving Artists Sale
The Arts and Design Society hosts its first Starving Artists Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28 at The Art Center, 17 First Street in Fort Walton Beach. Artists will sell their art and/or new or gently-used artist’s materials or books that they no longer need, and may include jewelry, ceramics, paintings, or whatever art the multi-talented group produces.

Hop down to HarborWalk Village from 2-4 p.m. April 5 for a festive afternoon complete with free kid’s activities and have a picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
