The Craft Bar hosts fundraiser for Special Forces Association Chapter 7

Special to The Log

The Craft Bar will host a fundraising event beginning at 5 p.m. the evening of Tuesday, March 24, to benefit Special Forces Association, Chapter 7, a local 501(c)19 not-for-profit veterans organization that provides assistance to the soldiers and families of the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) located at Duke Field. One hundred percent of all restaurant revenue received during the event will be donated to Special Forces Association, Chapter 7. Patrons will have an opportunity win door prizes, purchase raffle tickets, and make additional donations to the organization.

The event was planned to honor the memory of Chris Kyle, former Navy Seal and author of “American Sniper.” Inspired by Kyle, Chan Cox, The Craft Bar owner and local restaurateur, looked for a way to contribute to Kyle’s legacy.

“I was moved,” says Cox. “I wanted to give something back to the men and women that experience life-changing circumstances while defending our freedom.”

“We feel honored and are extremely grateful to Chan Cox and The Craft Bar for their support,” says Samuel Smith, treasurer of Special Forces Association, Chapter 7. Learn more about the organization at www.sfa7.com.
