Horizons hosts successful dinner theater

Horizons of Okaloosa County and Act4Murder presented Redneck Rivalry, a comedic murder mystery dinner, at Wyndham Garden Inn on Okaloosa Island March 13. The event was sponsored by Gulf Power, Silver Sands Premium Outlets, North Light Yacht Club, Act4Murder and Robert Marraccini.
Horizons continued its tradition with Act4Murder for the 13th year with an exciting collaboration giving guests an evening of fine food, interactive comedy show, and a silent auction. Act4Murder has raised more than $75,000 for Horizons over the past 13 years. All proceeds from this evening will benefit children and adults with disabilities in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties.
Costumed guests filled the room with their own character costume flare and interacted to create a night full of laughs during Redneck Rivalry while the actors supplied the “Feudin’ cousins, more outrageous costumes, music, comedy, romance ... and BACON!”
Horizons would like to thank all the sponsors, patrons, and guests who contributed to this event which raised over $6,000, and also the local businesses that contributed items in the silent auction adding to the success of the evening — Regions Bank, Wyndham Garden Inn, Breakers Condominiums on Okaloosa Island, J Tashik Construction, BOTE, Helen Back, HarborWalk Village merchants, Special Touch Gallery, Buccaneer Pirate Cruise, Jackacudas Seafood and Sushi, and Grand Boulevard merchants, Cantina Laredo, Boulevard 10 and Tommy Bahama’s.
