Bluegrass at the Beach

Blue Highway (headliner), The Hillbenders, Willie Sugarcapps, Run Boy Run, Moore Brothers Band, Dread Clampitt (pictured) and Dismal Creek perform during a one day event from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 12 at The Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, 4323 Commons Dr. West in Destin. Doors open at 10 a.m. Tickets are $55/general admission, $45/MKAF members and children under 12 are free. Ticket prices increase day of event.

Wednesday Night Concert Series

Listen to a free concert with the music of The Josh Garrett Band from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Events Plaza at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin.

Americana Under The Stars

Bring a chair and a beverage to enjoy the music of Friction Farm at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill.

ADSO window display

During September, The Arts and Design Society presents the works of clay artist Sherry Cooler and her ADSO students, displaying their works from her Butterfly Box and Clay & Nails classes, in studio windows that face First Street in Fort Walton Beach.

Rock'n Bingo

Play Rock'n Bingo from 7-9 p.m. Mondays at Landshark's Pizza or from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Mama Sherry's Pizza & Wings.

Gallery show: Black & White

Opening reception for the Arts and Design Society's Black & White Show will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street SE in Fort Walton Beach. The exhibition features works that are in only black and white, with some shades of gray. The show runs through Sept. 25. Call 244-1271 or visit the http://artsdesigns.

Beer Tour

The second annual Boardwalk Beer Tour will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 12 at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. The tour will feature more than 70 beers from around the world and local breweries, music with Rumor Mill on stage at The Swamp, food, and fun. Beer tour ticket holders will get a discount card for food at four restaurants at The Boardwalk. A limited amount of VIP tickets will be sold for the event as well as a handful of Ultra VIP passes which will include a Friday night kick off beer dinner at The Black Pearl. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the 96th OSS Booster Club. Visit for tickets.

Watch football games, play outside in great weather, listen to music, and enjoy specials from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 12, 19 and 26 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Coconut Radio performs from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 12 on the Baytowne LIVE Stage and Ben Loftin performs from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 12 on the Events Plaza Stage.
