ArtWalk on the Harbor

HarborWalk Village becomes a mini art district as dozens of artists showcase their creative artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary art, jewelry, paintings, handcrafted items and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at HarborWalk Village. Also, music on main stage.

Wednesday Night Concert Series

Listen to a free concert with the music of Kristin Diable from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Events Plaza at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin.

Paint the Coast

Pancakery of Destin will host a Painting Party, "Sunset over the Bayou," at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Cost is $40 with all supplies included. Cash bar available.

Americana Under The Stars

Bring a chair and a beverage to enjoy the music of Lucky Mud at 7 p.m. Oct. 15 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill.

Beer Fest

The Eighth Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival takes place from 5-9:30 p.m. Oct. 16 with Beer Bingo and 12:30-2 p.m. Oct. 17 with a VIP event and 2-6 p.m. craft tasting.

Mullet Festival

The annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival will be held Oct. 16-18 at the Mullet Festival Grounds in Niceville with country music, fine art and home hand-crafts, numerous exhibits, and a staggering array of food concessions. Tickets are $15/Friday and Saturday and $10/Sunday. Advance tickets $10 each and children 11 and under are free.

Zombie Walk

The Seventh Annual Fort Walton Beach Zombie Walk and Can Food Drive begins by delivering your food at 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the corner of Ferry Road and U.S. 98 or The Landing. To play the games, zombies must register by 5:30 p.m. Make-up artists will be on hand to zombify for an additional donation of canned goods. Also games, prizes, music for all ages, and trick or treating for the kids. Zombie Walk will conclude with a meandering of Zombies through downtown to the destination for Thriller Dance.

ADSO window display

During October, The Arts and Design Society presents in studio windows that face First Street in Fort Walton Beach the works of Lucy Foote, who works in oils, acrylic, and digital art.

Rock'n Bingo

Play Rock'n Bingo from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at Landshark's Pizza or from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Mama Sherry's Pizza & Wings.

Art exhibition/reception

The Pastel Society of North Florida will have their Members' Exhibition Award Ceremony and Reception from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 18 in the lobby of Goetsch Gallery inside of the Costa Leadership Institute on the third floor of the Student Services Center, Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. A $500 framed pastel by nationally known artist, Marilyn Simpson, PSA will be given as a door prize. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on view Oct. 18-Dec. 4. Cameron Hampton, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and an International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle Recipient, will be the juror and judge of awards.
