Marian J. Einstein exhibit at Destin Library

The Destin Library will host a 20 piece exhibit by local artist Marian J. Einstein through Feb. 29. Born in Berlin, Germany, Marian Einstein was 12 when her family moved to Bulgaria where they resided and she began a three-year study of art at the Art Academy.
Following her family’s immigration to the United States, and the decision to settle in New York City, Marian enrolled in more art courses. Through the years she dabbled in her art, creating works that friends and family enjoyed. It wasn’t until recently that friends encouraged her to let others enjoy her works.
“I love painting. It is so expressive and relaxing,” Einstein says.
Her favorite medium is acrylic on canvas primarily because she enjoys the vibrancy of the colors and the fact that the paint dries quickly. She also works with pen and ink, charcoal, pencil sketches and enjoys cartooning.
Exhibit hours in the Calhoun Room at the Destin Library are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
