During April, The Arts and Design Society presents the works of artist and teacher Helen Harris, who will display her works in encaustic, acrylic, and oil. Display will be in the studio windows at The Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, SE, that face First Street in Fort Walton Beach.

Bart Rockett Magic Show

Exhibit at Destin Library

The Destin Library will showcase the work of local artist Kristina Montvidas Kutkus through May 13. The exhibit, A Retrospective of Art, will highlight the artist’s range of work from oil on canvas to photo-linen paintings.

Americana Under The Stars

Bring a chair and a beverage to enjoy the music of Larry Mangum at 7 p.m. April 14 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill.

Pirate Dinner & Movie

Have a swashbucklin' evening of fun beginning at 6 p.m. Fridays at the Sandestin Pirate Dinner at Baytowne Marina. Independent Film Series

The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will sponsor a movie, "Beasts of the Southern Wild," a drama/fantasy, at 3 p.m. April 19 at the Destin Library. The program is free and open to the public. Directed toward a mature audience.

Photography/Digital Arts Exhibition

Opening reception for the Arts and Design Society's 17th Annual Photography and Digital Arts Show will be from 6-8 p.m. April 22 at 17 First Street, SE, in Fort Walton Beach. The show begins April 19 and runs through May 20. Gallery hours are 12-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission to the reception and the gallery is free and open to the public.

Piano Duo Recital

Choctaw Bay Music Clubs' 25th Annual Stars and Stripes Piano Duo Recital wilil be held from 3-4 p.m. April 24 in the Tyler Recital Hall at the NWFSC Performing Arts Center in Niceville. This year's focus is on American Music and Composers. Performers include Carolyn Schalatter, Loretta Hake, Annie Roper, Dr. Theresa McRee, Ingrid Roberts, Sarah Dieterich, Tiffany Kostelny and Melissa Kibler. Free and open to all ages. Anna Moo concert

The Destin Library will present a free concert with Anna Moo at 3 p.m. June 14 in the library’s Calhoun Room. The concert is in conjunction with this summers’ Reading Program: On Your Mark, Get Set … READ! Pre-registrations are required and will be available beginning May 27. Call at 837-8572.
