Bring a chair and a beverage to enjoy the music of Lucky Mud at 7 p.m. May 19 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill.

Concerts in the Village

Enjoy the music of emerald Gold at the 21st annual Concerts in the Village at 7 p.m. May 19 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, 4323 Commons Drive West in Destin. Doors open at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair, picnic and wine or purchase soft drinks and dinner prepared by a featured restaurant or food trucks on site. Admission is $12/adults; children (12 and under) and MKAF members are free.

Pirate Dinner & Movie

Have a swashbucklin' evening of fun beginning at 6 p.m. Fridays at the Sandestin Pirate Dinner at Baytowne Marina. ADSO window display

During May, The Arts and Design Society pre-sents the works Art Orr, who will display oil and acrylic paintings, colored pencil drawings, and birdhouse sculptures, the latter including mixed media involving wood, sand, and oil paint. Display will be in the studio windows at The Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, SE, that face First Street in Fort Walton Beach.

First responder fundraiser

Support Destin's first responders and eat, drink and sing from 4-9 p.m. May 20 at the first Buck's Blues & BBQ Fire & Blue at Destin Harbor public parking, corner of U.S. 98 and Marler Street. Live blues music with Ron Adams and Lil Jimmy Reed. All proceeds go to Destin Fire and Sheriff's Office.

Little Black Dress Party

The Seventh Annual Little Black Dress Party, A Night at the Opera, will be May 21 at the Sandestin Beach Resort. The event will feature dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and live entertainment. Tickets and sponsorships are available.

Guest Artist Piano Recital

Renowned Grammy nominated concert pianist Michael Lewin of Boston will appear in a solo piano recital at 7:30 p.m. May 21 in the Tyler Recital Hall at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center of NWFSC in Niceville. Okaloosa Arts & Culture Fest

The Okaloosa Arts Alliance hosts the annual Okaloosa Arts & Culture Fest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 21 at the Fort Walton Beach Landing on Brooks Street. This free family fun arts event features dozens of local artisans and craft vendors, food and beverages, free family arts activities, live music and art performances. Live entertainment will include Emerald Coast Pipes & Drums, Brite Starz, Highsteppers, Pyramid Players and more. A silent auction will help raise funds for OAA and include donations from Newman-Dailey Resorts, Painting with A Twist, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, The Track, Southern Vacation Rentals and more.

Destin Harbor Hop

For a $5 donation to Food For Thought, guests will hop May 22 to three of the harbor’s restaurants on a complimentary shuttle provided by Sunshine Shuttle and Limousine. Each stop will include live music, food and drink specials.

Northwest Florida Ballet

Join students from the Northwest Florida Ballet evening school as they perform at 3 p.m. May 28 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College. Tickets are $12/adults and $6/children. They may be purchased at the NFB Studios 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Tickets will also be available at the Arts Center before the concert begins.

Memorial Day Celebration

Patriotic festivities at The Village of Baytowne Wharf include the music of The Modern Eldorados from 7-9 p.m. May 28 on the Events Plaza Stage. From 6-9 p.m. May 29, there will be kids ativities, music of Coconut Radio and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. over the lagoon. On May 30 at 7 p.m. Sandestin Veterans will present a Memorial Day program.

Sinfonia Goes Pops

The Alys Foundation welcomes back Sinfonia Gulf Coast for the sixth annual concert under the palms at 7:30 p.m. May 29 in the Amphitheatre. The concert is family friendly and free to the community and will feature patriotic medleys, movie soundtracks, light classics, and more. The concert ends with a “Stars & Stripes” fireworks finale. Food vendors and cash bar will be available. Bring low back chairs for comfortable seating.

Fat Tuesday Parade Kick-Off

Who wants some beads?! Join in Fat Tuesday as HarborWalk Village transforms into “The Big Easy” on Tuesdays at 7 beginning May 31. It’s one Pardi in Paradise where you can enjoy dazzling floats, beads and lots of swag during a free parade through HarborWalk Village.

Red, White and Blue Celebration

Welcome back heroes from the past for a reunion at 6 p.m. June 2 at HarborWalk Village. The celebration highlights the efforts of those who go above and beyond to better their community. Enjoy live entertainment, free kid's crafts, face painting, a vintage WWII flyover and a fireworks show over the harbor at 9 p.m.

Art Walk

The Fort Walton Beach Art Walk is held the 1st Friday of every month until November. It features local arts in all sorts of mediums. There is something for everyone from an array of local art, jewelry and many other handmade creations.

Rock the Docks

Enjoy a free concert with the Zack Rosicka Band from 7-9 p.m. June 4 on the HarborWalk Village stage.

Calendar Show

Opening reception for the Arts and Design Society's show "Just Say It!,” the ADSO Members' Calendar Show, is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. June 10 at The Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, SE, in Fort Walton Beach. The show begins June 7 and runs through July 1. Gallery hours are 12-4 pm, Tuesday-Friday, and 1-4 pm, Saturday. Admission is free

Anna Moo concert

The Destin Library will present a free concert with Anna Moo at 3 p.m. June 14 in the library’s Calhoun Room. The concert is in conjunction with this summers’ Reading Program: On Your Mark, Get Set … READ! Pre-registrations are required and will be available beginning May 27. Call at 837-8572.

Independent Film Series

The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will sponsor a movie, "A Most Wanted Man," crime, drama, thriller, at 3 p.m. June 21 at the Destin Library. The program is free and open to the public. Directed toward a mature audience.

Locals Night Out

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Destin presents Locals Night Out with the music of Jones & Company from 6-9 p.m. every Wednesday in the Courtyard Bar.
