Dancing With Desire at Mattie Kelly Arts Center

Experience an unforgettable night featuring legends and celebrity dancers from the hit TV series “Dancing With The Stars,” along with world champion Fred Astaire Dance Studio professionals, in a dancing and entertainment spectacular.
The star-studded Dancing With Desire begins at 7 p.m. June 16 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in the Mainstage Theater on the main campus of Northwest Florida State College at 100 College Boulevard, Niceville. Proceeds benefit the college’s non-profit Arts Center programs and the students/scholarships of the NWF State College Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts Division.
The popular event, now in its 11th year, is presented by Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Fort Walton Beach. Local sponsors also include Cumulus Radio, Gulf Power, Wyndham Garden Resort, Gary Smith Ford, Brotulus Restaurant Destin, the Crab Island Cantina, Chick-Fil-A, Edible Arrangements and more.

Appearing as a special guest star at Dancing With Desire will be Joey Fatone, member of the hit band NSYNC in which he sang baritone. An actor and TV personality, Fatone competed in season 4 of “Dancing With The Stars” and also hosted the U.S. and Australian versions of The Singing Bee which aired on NBC. Fatone is the host of Food Network's Rewrapped, Live Well Network's My Family Recipe Rocks and is also guest host of The Price Is Right Live! at Bally's Las Vegas.
National and international dance champions who have been featured on the hit TV series ”Dancing With The Stars” who will perform include Tony Dovolani who started in season two of “Dancing With The Stars” and was the winner of season 15. A World and US Rhythm Champion and Emmy nominee, he portrayed a Latin bad boy in the hit film “Shall We Dance” and has dance coached actress Jennifer Lopez and many more.
Emma Slater, who was ”Dancing with the Stars” winner in season 14, is a World Champion of the Latin American competition at Blackpool, England. She also appeared and sang in the movie “Mamma Mia” with Meryl Streep.
Sasha Faber joined “Dancing With The Stars” in season 17 and has been a World Latin Champion. He also starred in and choreographed in the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Sharna Burgess, a popular ”Dancing With The Stars” regular who joined the show in season 13 in the dance troupe and as a pro in season 17, was paired with combat veteran Noah Galloway in season 20. She also represented her homeland of Australia at age 17 and became a World Latin and Standard Champion, and appeared and choreographed in “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The event will also feature special military honoree Trent K Keyes, Capt, USAF, and live music by the band Continuum.
