Wednesday Night Concert Series

Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy a free concert under the stars with the Courtyard Saints from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 21 in the Events Plaza in Baytowne Wharf.

3D gallery show

The Arts and Design Society's 3D Show runs through Sept. 23 at the Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street SE in Fort Walton Beach. Admission is free and open to the public. Call 244-1271 or visit artsdesignsociety.

Marla Armstrong exhibit

The Destin Library will showcase the work of Niceville artist Marla Armstrong through Sept. 30. The exhibit will highlight the artist’s range of work in the media of watercolor and acrylics. As a member of the Arts and Design Society of Fort Walton Beach, her paintings and photography have won ADSO awards and have been on display at various shows in the southeast.

Hurricane Party

Bud & Alley’s will host the 12th annual Hurricane Party from 6:30-10 p.m. Sept. 23 with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Volunteer Health Network Inc. (CVHN). Entertainment will be provided by 4 Barrel Funk. Along with the views, food, beverages, dancing and fun, there will be live and silent auctions. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. with heavy Creole hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are limited and will be $100 in advance and $125 day of the party. Oktoberfest Bluewater Bay

The 22nd annual Oktoberfest in Bluewater Bay will be held from 5-10 p.m. Sept. 23 and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 24 at Market Place near Winn-Dixie on Highway 20 in Bluewater Bay. Enjoy live music, entertainment for adults and children, arts and crafts, soft drinks, bratwurst, hotdogs, baked chicken and beer. All proceeds go to local charities. Free admission.

NFB season opening

The 2016-2017 season opens with Lightwire Theater's newest adventure "Moon Mouse: A Space Odyssey" at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville. Tickets are $35/adults and $15/children 12 and under and can be purchased at nfballet.org.

Friends of Fresh Start Gala

The Mulligans classic rock band will perform live at the fifth annual Friends of Fresh Start Gala, Unmasking the Face of Homelessness, from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 23 on the entire sixth floor of The Ramada on Okaloosa Island. The event will include both live and silent auctions, party masks, heavy appetizers, gourmet cupcakes, cash bar and a chance to win the famous “Wagon of Wine.” Tickets begin at $40 and can be purchased at freshstartforchildrenandfamiliesfwb.com/.

Eggs on the Beach

The third annual Eggs on the Beach Cooking Competition will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Seascape Resort. Eggs on the Beach Taster tickets are available for $25/adult, $13/child (age 11-17) and kids 10 and under are free. Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $35 at the gate. Taste of FWB

The Downtown FWB Organization will hold its first Taste of FWB Food & Wine Festival from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Fort Walton Beach Landing. Enjoy tastes from local restaurants and food trucks paired with wine selections and live entertainment.

Tri-County Fair

The 33rd Northwest Florida Tri-County Fair Fine Arts Show, sponsored by the Arts and Design Society and the Northwest Florida Fair Board, is from 5-10 p.m. Sept. 27-30 and 2-10 p.m. Oct. 1 at C.H. Bull Rigdon Fairgrounds and Recreation Complex in Fort Walton Beach. The Opening Reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 25. Artwork in every medium will be on display; high school and middle school art will be a special feature. Event is free.
