Auditions: Nutcracker in Seaside

The holiday town of Seaside is calling Northwest Florida area dancers, ages 8-18, to audition for the 5th Annual Seaside Nutcracker from 2-3 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Seaside Assembly Hall across the lawn from the Seaside Neighborhood School in Santa Rosa Beach.

Download audition form at www.seasidefl.com/highlights/ and email the completed form to showard@seasidefl.com and bring the form to auditions. A costume rental fee and pre-registration is required. Applicants wanting to reserve a spot for auditions should email showard@seasidefl.com by Sept. 30.

Call for Volunteers: Festival of the Arts

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation needs volunteers with various shifts and jobs available. All volunteers are welcome to arrive prior to their assigned shift or after their morning shift to visit the artists and enjoy the festival. Opportunities are available for students looking to donate their time in exchange for community service hours.

Call to Artists: Life's A Beach Cover Art Contest

The Destin magazine, "Life's A Beach," is again holding its annual contest for the cover art of their magazine, which is sent to all parts of the country. The ADSO Gallery is the venue for the show.

Entries must have at least one palm tree and illustrate life along the Emerald Coast, with bright vibrant colors favored.

Turn in work from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 22 and 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 24 at the ADSO Gallery, 17 First Street, SE, in Fort Walton Beach.
