Art Walk

The Fort Walton Beach Art Walk will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 7. It features local arts in all sorts of mediums. There is something for everyone from an array of local art, jewelry and many other handmade creations.

During October, The Arts and Design Society presents the works of award-winning artist Mike Lewis in the studio windows at The Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, SE, in Fort Walton Beach.

FWBCC Fundraiser

Join Act4Murder for a night of deadly fun as they team up with the Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus for their first murder mystery fundraiser, "Mobbed Up For Death." The performance will be Oct. 7 at Two Trees Restaurant, 1955 Lewis Turner Blvd. in Fort Walton Beach. Nashville Songwriters Florida Sunshine Tour

The seventh annual Nashville Songwriters Florida Sunshine Tour, will be held Oct. 7 and 8 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin. During the free festival, songwriters will sing country’s biggest hits and share the stories behind the songs. Nightly concerts will be held at numerous venues inside The Village and will be staged progressively, so fans will have the opportunity to see all performances. Locations include Rum Runners, The Village Door deck, Graffiti & The Funky Blues Shack, and the Village Events Plaza stage.

Fish the Days, Rock the Nights

After fishing at the Rodeo, enjoy free live music with WaterzEdge at HarborWalk Village at 7 p.m. Oct. 8. A fireworks celebration over the harbor at 9 p.m. plus a fire spinning show by Just Add Water ends the night.

Duck Regatta

The sixth annual Emerald Coast Duck Regatta, benefiting the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Guild, will be held Oct. 8 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. The event features fun activities for the whole family, including Abrakadoodle face painters, crafts, scavenger hunts, and the Baytowne Carousel for children 12 and under from 11 a.m. to noon. All family events begin at 10 a.m. and the duck race will begin at 1 p.m. at the lagoon. Make a donation of $10 or more to the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Guild to adopt a duck at the Hospital Gift Shop in Miramar Beach, online at www.emeraldcoastduckregatta.com, or at Baytowne Wharf the day of the event. Adopt one duck/$10, three ducks/$27, six ducks/$50 or 12 ducks/$100. You need not be present to win.
