Sinatra is back for NFSO special event

Special to The Log
Brian Duprey sings Sinatra, backed by the NFSO. SPECIAL TO THE LOG

Las Vegas star Brian Duprey ("The Rat Pack is Back") returns at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 to the Mattie Kelly Arts Center to perform a knock-out recreation of Frank Sinatra in a tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes that's backed by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.

The concert is a fundraiser for the NFSO in the professional orchestra's 30th season on the Emerald Coast. Tickets are $35 each. An NFSO 30th Anniversary Gala Reception proceeds the concert and may be purchased separately for $30. Individual tickets or NFSO Season Packages, which include the Sinatra Special Event Concert, are on sale from the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Box Office.

Showered with awards and recognition for his live and recorded vocal performances, Brian Duprey's voice is the closest you'll hear to Sinatra in his prime. This Las Vegas star had his big break on Fox TV's hit reality show "Performing As," where he won the top prize by portraying Sinatra.

As an actor in the hit show "The Rat Pack is Back," Brian Duprey spent 10 years in Las Vegas perfecting his craft and exemplified excellence in every aspect of his tribute to Frank Sinatra. His lead role and creative development of the show built a 48 state tour, repeat bookings and secured the title of Best Tribute Show of Las Vegas in 2014. He's performed in more than 200 performing arts theaters and casinos across the country, generating sold-out performances and rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

Duprey and "The Rat Pack is Back" appeared at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in the 2014-15 season to a sold-out house and rave reviews by local patrons, and it is an honor to bring Duprey back during the 30th Season of the NFSO for his new solo show featuring the very best of Sinatra.

Not only did 2015 mark the 100th Year Anniversary of Sinatra's birth, it also birthed Duprey's brand new show called "Sinatra: The Ultimate Tribute Concert." He is not just performing a musical tribute to Sinatra, he transforms into Ol' Blue Eyes on stage. For the people who never saw Frank in concert or long to see him again, Duprey is the next best thing.

Duprey takes the audience through as many as 30 Sinatra classics. It's straight-up concert, the only authentic recreation of Sinatra in concert with every look, move, mannerism and speech matched with the closest Sinatra singing voice in the world today.
