Rocky Horror Picture Show Screening, Costume Contest
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind night at AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar with this themed party at 10 p.m. Oct. 22. Dress to impress in your most appealing character from the Rocky Horror Picture Show and take part in the competition with $500 as the grand prize. Participants will also receive a free Rocky Horror survival kit.
Scream in delight, not fright, at this family-friendly Halloween celebration Oct. 22 and 29 and from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 31 at Gulfarium on Okaloosa Island. The whole family will enjoy Halloween crafts, a hay maze, an obstacle course and more. To enter costume contest, join the costume parade at 1 p.m. oct. 22 and 29. And don't forget to trick or treat around the park.
Halloween Costume Parade
The Destin Library will hold its annual Story-time Halloween Costume Parade for children 4 years and younger at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 26. Pre-register at email@example.com or call 837-8572, ext. 3203 by Oct. 21. Children participating in this year’s Parade will receive a gift bag for their participation.
Mayhem at the Monster Bash
The Halloween costume party murder mystery by Act4 Murder will be presented at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at La Paz, 950 Gulf Shore Drive in Destin, with seating at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $45. Destin Commons will host a Halloween Haunt from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28 for kids and dogs and creepy crawlers of all ages. This eerie event will be full of spooky crafts, fantasy face painting, trick-or-treating and a costume costume contest for kids ages 0-12 and dogs from 6-7:30 p.m. Top 3 winners will be announced at 7:30 and 1st place will be crowned at the mainstage! Trick-or-Treat throughout Destin Commons on the sidewalk stations and in participating stores from 7-8 p.m.
Adult Costume Contest
This all-out Halloween party will be hopping in AJ’s Club Bimini on Oct. 29. The party gets started after 10 p.m. with awards to the craziest costume ensembles. The grand prize is $1,000 so don’t miss out on this epic party.
HarborWalk Village will come alive for Halloween Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30. Pumpkinpalooza doesn’t leave anyone out as Saturday hosts a live concert and adult costume contest from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday it’s time to bring out the kids. Sunday’s family events include a kids and pets costume contest, arts and crafts, and trick-or-treating beginning at 2 p.m.
The second annual Spooktacular BooLu's Fun Family event kicks off the free fun at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at Lulu's in Destin with pumpkin painting, trunk or treat, arts and crafts, movie showing of Beetlejuice and much more. Bring your little goblins dressed in costume for the costume contest. Register by 5 p.m. LuLu’s is seeking area non-profits, charities and local businesses that would like to participate in Trunk or Treat. Community Hallelujah Bash
First Baptist Church, 201 Beach Drive in Destin, will host its free community event Oct. 30. There will be trunk and treat, inflatables and games. Bring your friends and family. Call 837-6515.
Free Halloween pancake for kids
On Halloween, take your children to IHOP for a free Scary Face Pancake from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s part of the Kids Eat Free promotion, which allows children 12 and younger to eat free when you purchase an adult entree from 4 to 10 p.m.
Trick or Treat Street
Trick or treat through the streets of The Village of Baytowne Wharf and visit merchants for some sweet treats from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Enjoy face painting and crafts, balloon animals and stiltwalking and dance on stage with frighteningly good tunes. End the evening with a spooky fireworks show over the Baytowne Lagoon at 8 p.m.
Oct. 31 is the Annual Fall Festival at Destiny Worship Center in Miramar Beach from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy family fun and festivities including inflatables, games, candy, attractions, and much more.
Halloween on the BOOlevard
Children are invited to dress in their ghoulish best and trick-or-treat in the Town Center of Grand Boulevard at Sandestin from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Visit merchants for Halloween treats and enjoy an amusingly spooky, live storytelling performance by characters from the Emerald Coast Theatre Company at 5:30 p.m. in Grand Park. Visit the whimsical display of Cottage for Kids, a unique event benefiting Children’s Volunteer Health Network for a special, ghostly gift.. Event is free and open to the public
Little ghosts and goblins are invited to Silver Sands Premium Outlets for a free fun and safe night trick-or-treating from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Children of all ages are encouraged to sport their best Halloween costume to haunt the stores in search of candy. Visit the Information Center first for special treats and a list of participating stores.
Costumes should be worn only during event hours and masks are allowed only on children 12 years old and younger. Come join us in a safe, well-lit environment and grab some goodies.
Rodeo Final Night
For Halloween fun the entire family can enjoy, the docks for the final night of the Destin Fishing Rodeo Oct. 31 is where to be. Everyone from the weighmaster and judges to the boat captains and anglers will be dressed in costume. Bring the kiddos and they can trick-or-treat along the Destin Harbor Boardwalk at all the vendors in the HarborWalk Village. AJ’s even has a special for the kids; if they are in costume, they eat free from 5-7 p.m. The night ends with a fireworks show.
