Celebrate spring at annual Kite Festival

Ring in spring at Kitty Hawk Kites' annual Fly Into Spring Kite Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 and 2 at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island.

Experience 25-to-100-foot larger-than-life show kites as they fly high above the Fort Walton Beach shoreline. This free two-day event also features professional stunt kite flying, demonstrations and lessons, and a family fun fly that is perfect for kite enthusiasts of all ages. The public is invited to bring a kite and join the fun. Learn from professional kite fliers both days, courtesy of Kitty Hawk Kites and the Emerald Coast Kitefliers Club.

On Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., there will be a Candy Drop for kids of all ages, and also included will be a few very special Kitty Hawk Kites prizes too.
