United for a Good Cause Inc., a tax exempt 501(c) (3) organization, invites the community to be part of Hispanic Fest 2017 — “Our Folklore, Our Music, Our Food … Our Gifts to the World."
The festival is the largest indoor Hispanic event in this region and is a family-oriented, cultural and educational event showcasing variety music, folkloric dances, arts/crafts, and the flavors and aromas of the delicious cuisine.
Last year, more than 2,000 people attended, there were more than 60 vendors, Hispanic and non-Hispanic entertainment, plenty for the kids to do, plus an art gallery, which displayed more than 60 art pieces from local area artists and art students. Food vendors ranged from all over Latin America and even Jamaica.
Hispanic Fest is a fundraiser and benefits the Annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Needy Children’s Fiesta. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, vendors, and attendees, last year's Hispanic Fest generated funds that helped host more than 1,800 children and their families last December. The EC Christmas Miracle is an Everything is Free Party that was organized in 2005.
HF17 will be even better and your sponsorship will help provide hundreds of Emerald Coast children a chance to have a Merry Christmas this year. Visit www.unitedforagoodcause.org for photos from last year and a video.
HF17 is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island. Admission is $5 with children 12 and under admitted free.
In-kind sponsorships, to include media sponsorships, are welcome. The deadline for sponsorships is Aug. 31. After the deadline, sponsorships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All businesses, service agencies, and other entities interested in reaching out to all who attend, including the growing Hispanic community of the Emerald Coast and Northwest Florida region, are welcome. Deadline for vendors’ entries is Sept. 6.
