Smoke on the Coast lineup announced

Destin Commons recently announced they will partner with 19 area charities for their upcoming eighth annual Smoke on the Coast BBQ & Fireworks on July 3.

These charities will team up with various restaurants and barbecue aficionados to fire up their grills, with each team preparing their own custom barbecue-inspired specialty. Attendees sample barbecue dishes and cast their votes for the coveted People’s Choice title. Celebrity judges will also award Judge’s Pick winners of a blind taste test.

The non-profit organizations, along with their barbecue teams, will be:

“We are excited to once again offer local non-profit organizations a chance to get their name and mission out to thousands of attendees and drive awareness of our community’s needs, while raising much needed funds,” said Heather Ruiz, Destin Commons director of marketing. “Each charity will receive a $2,500 donation in addition to being able to compete for up to a total of $87,500 in donations through our Coins for a Cause program.”
