Matthews Jones & Hawkins
Matthews Jones & Hawkins has announced that S. Thomas Hoffer has rejoined the firm after spending the last four years in Alaska as an assistant district attorney prosecuting criminals. Hoffer was originally an associate with the firm for two years before north. He will now focus on general civil, business and commercial litigation.
“I always knew MJ&H was where I wanted to be … and I am thrilled to practice law in the Panhandle,” Hoffer said.
MJ&H also announced that summer clerks Brooke Jones of Niceville and Sam Houston of Shalimar, have returned to law school to continue their legal education. The two split their time between the Destin and Niceville offices.
“It was a pleasure to clerk with MJ&H,” said Jones. “I gained valuable firwwthand knowledge in almost every area of the law.”

Sacred Heart welcomes new physicians
Sacred Heart Medical Group recently welcomed Dr. Gerald Matysik, a board-certified pulmonologist and internist; Dr. Francis Le, a board certified electrophysiologist and interventional cardiologist; and pediatrician Dr. Molly Smith-Sowell.
Dr. Matysik earned his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed advanced fellowship training in pulmonary medicine at Cleveland Clinic. To schedule an appointment, call 850-278-3697.
Dr. Le earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency training in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center.
