Okaloosa Republicans elect new officers for 2013-2014

The Okaloosa County Republican Party Executive Committee held election of new officers on Dec. 3. New officers for the 2013-2014 term will be Gaye Ellis, chairwoman; Al Kauses, vice-chairman; Natalie Simpson, secretary and Bill Readdy, treasurer.

OCREC is the governing body of the Republican Party in Okaloosa County and its members are representatives of their precinct in the county. All registered Republicans are welcome to join OCREC. The Okaloosa County Tax Collector’s Office received notification that VISA is now an acceptable form of payment for all transactions conducted at the Tax Office. Ben Anderson, Okaloosa County Tax Collector, said, “This is just another restriction that has been lifted which frees up our customers to conduct their business in a way that is most convenient for them.”

A bank card fee of 2.5 percent, or a minimum $2.50, is charged when using any credit or debit card. Anderson said, “To avoid those fees, customers can always use the free ECheck payment option when paying online.”

Dustin Cutler awarded General Manager of the Year

Dustin Cutler, ARAMARK general manager at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, was named General Manager of the year at the most recent ARAMARK National Conference held in Las Vegas. He was selected as the top general manager among four nominees, with more than 200 general managers within the ARAMKARK Sports and Entertainment Division.
