NWFSC EMT program recognized

Fire Science Online has chosen the Northwest Florida State College EMT program among the 80 institutions in the U.S. providing the best return on investment to emergency medical technician graduates.

 “Our faculty and staff work very hard each day to make sure that our students are prepared when they graduate and go out into the field,” said Barry Reed, director, Emergency Services. “We train people every day to save lives.”

“Students pursuing their education in a Florida College System institution are investing in their futures,” said FCS Chancellor Randy Hanna. “I am proud Fire Science Online acknowledged how a high-quality education provided by nine of our colleges can help students get great jobs.” 

SmartBank announces Florida regional president

SmartBank, a subsidiary of SmartFinancial, Inc., has announced the promotion of Bill Lloyd to regional president for its Florida market. 

“Bill adds a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the SmartBank team,” said Billy Carroll, SmartBank president and CEO. “His leadership will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow in Florida and strengthen our unique commitment to relationship banking and emphasis on client service.”

As regional president, Lloyd will work out of the Destin office and will be responsible for overseeing all areas of business within the markets of Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Panama City.
