Students compete in spelling bee

The following students from Rocky Bayou Christian School, Destin Campus were chosen to compete at the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools regional competition in Tallahassee. Students from Christian schools around the Northwest region of Florida competed.

Students competing were Asher Ghostley and Lila Joslyn, first grade; Travis Espy, second grade; Ivan Guiterrez, Johana Munoz and Carlie Pollock, third grade; Elijah Pollock and Keilana Quilit, fourth grade; and William Denney, Evelyn Garrett and Landon Willner, fifth grade.

Ivan Gutierrez won First Place, and Travis Espy, Third Place. They now have an opportunity to compete at the State competition to be held Nov. 8 in Orlando.
