Sara Noel Childers joins Proffitt PR

Proffitt PR recently announced the addition of Sara Noel Childers to their team of public relations professionals.

Childers, 25, of Tallahassee, was hired as public relations and social media coordinator. She will manage public relations, event and social media initiatives. She assists the firm with servicing current clients as well as growing the Proffitt PR client portfolio.

Childers joins Proffitt PR from Florida Outdoor Advertising Association where she was the public service/communications director. She has a B.S. in Marketing from FSU’s College of Business and an M.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Georgia’s Graduate School.

As a graduate student she worked in the Walt Disney World’s Corporate Alliances office as a business development intern.

Subway in the Village

Marianna Zuech, merchant manager of the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, announced that Subway has come to the resort. Subway’s hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday and offers military and senior discounts. Apex Broadcasting promotes Seth Patterson

Apex Broadcasting recently named Seth Patterson promotions director. He began as an intern over the summer of 2013 and was kept on at Apex as a part timer who would act as a board operator and promotions technician.

Patterson will assume the position of promotions director on a part time basis while he finishes his degree at the University of West Florida where is majoring in communications, specializing in telecommunications and film.

“I can’t explain how exciting this is for me,” Patterson said. “I am honored to be able to bring my skills to this already fantastic team and will do my best to impress.”

DCWAF announces 2014 honorary vintner

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) recently announced that Paul Hobbs has been named the Honorary Vintner for the Ninth Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction April 25-27.

“Paul is indeed one of the leading names throughout the international wine community, having twice been named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, Jr.,” said John Russell, president of the DCWAF. “During his career, he has positively impacted winemaking at well-known wineries such as Simi, Opus One and Robert Mondavi, and has consulted for Peter Michel, Fisher, Lewis and Catena, among others.”

“I am honored to be a part of this year’s festivities in support of the DCWAF Charities, which help transform the lives of so many children in need,” said Mr. Hobbs.
