Sydney Day (left) and Aislynn Barnes were two of the 40 children who attended Kamp Kellywamba in June, a pirate-themed summer camp including drama, art, dance and juggling. The kamp culminated in a final performance for family and friends.

The Kamp was presented by All Kinds of Art, an educational outreach program of the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. The arts are a creative resource to unlock the development and improve the self-esteem of children.

“To witness these children light up as they create art and perform theatre, dancing, juggling was a very rewarding experience in fulfilling our education mission for all children, regardless of socioeconomic status or lack of artistic resources in schools,” said Marcia Hull, CEO of MKAF.

Since 1995, All Kinds of Art has impacted more than 260,000 students in more than 57 schools in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
