Sacred Heart Hospital

•Joint replacement: Education classes at 9 a.m. Sept. 2, 15 and 29 in the hospital’s Resource Center Suite 3 conference room. To attend, call Linda Ledford at 278-3646.

•Stroke support group: A free stroke support group will meet at 3 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Suite 3 conference room for stroke survivors, caregivers and family members.

• Breast cancer support group:  Meets at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center. Call 278-3980.

•Diabetes classes: Jenny Stuckey, registered nurse and certified diabetes educator, will host self-management classes from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 17 in the Resource Center Suite 1 education building at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. Pre-registration required and a physician referral is needed to attend. Call 278-3683.

• Online childbirth class: Families will learn about the stages of labor, comfort techniques, common medical procedures, including epidurals and cesareans, and newborn and postpartum care. Engaging videos, personal birth stories, 3D animations, games, and activities make learning easy and fun. Rolling registration. Cost is $35.  

Seminar

As part of Sacred Heart’s “Senior Spirit” Financial Matters series, Kristen Marks, Esq. of My Pink Lawyer, will present a free seminar, “Wills and Trusts: When, How & Why,” at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 in the Resource Center, Suite 3, at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. Blood drive

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host the Oneblood mobile unit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17 at the main entrance of the hospital. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and a meal ticket to the hospital’s café. Oneblood will also provide a free wellness check for all blood donors, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.

Healthy Living Seminar

Dr. Sean Hodson, podiatrist with Gulf Coast Podiatry, presents a free seminar, “Flat Foot & Heel Pain,” at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 in the Suite 3 Conference Room at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. Make reservations at 416-1620 or 877-416-1620.
