New restaurant announced for Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Sunset Bay Cafe, a new restaurant offering chef-inspired menu selections for breakfast and lunch will open in late February at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, officials with Sandestin Real Estate announced today. The restaurant owners are local businessmen Captain Gary Jarvis, also owner of the charter and commercial fishing company Back Down 2, Inc., and his son, local restaurateur, Bryce Jarvis.

The restaurant has a tentative opening date of Feb. 25 and will be located on the Bayside of Sandestin near the Linkside Conference Center. Aside from a variety of menu options, the dining outlet will offer spectacular views of Choctawhatchee Bay.

“My passion for big flavors, fresh sustainable ingredients and personal service will make for a great dining experience by the bay,” said Bryce Jarvis.

Bryce Jarvis possesses nearly two decades in the restaurant industry and is known along the Emerald Coast as a proprietor of fine dining establishments and local catering companies. His food and beverage background also includes corporate management training and managing partnership roles with Darden Restaurants, a global leader in hospitality and restaurant operations.
