American Legion makes donation

American Legion Post 296 in Destin presented a $200 check to Tammie Shelton, assistant activities director at the Chester Sim’s State Veterans Nursing Home on Jan. 21.

The Post has a commitment to support the heroes of the past and their families so the home can have activities for the veterans.
