Cox Charity Auction begins April 11

Presented by Cox and Home Instead Senior Care, the Cox Charity Auction to benefit Covenant Hospice kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 11. The month-long virtual fundraising event features four one-week auctions hosted online at www.CoxCharityAuction.com. Each auction will feature a variety of packages starting at 60 percent off the retail value.
The auction series is scheduled as follows:
Auction One (April 11-18) includes items such as a Regions green bicycle, an iPad Mini courtesy of Cox Communications, a getaway for two from Beau Rivage Casino, as well as a beach stay from Ramada Plaza Beach Resort.
Auction Two (April 18-25) includes items such as a fishing trip from Olin Marler Charters, a family membership from the Emerald Coast Science Center, a massage from Bodyworks by Bull and gift certificates to Harbor Docks and Tijuana Flats.
Auction Three (April 25-May 2) includes items such as tickets to Digital Grafitti at Alys Beach, gift certificates from Publix, Bayou Book Company and Tucker Duke’s Lunchbox, a regional “staycation” from Southern Vacation Rentals and a sunset dolphin cruise from Destin Snorkel.
Auction Four (May 2-9) includes items such as a hot air balloon ride, four rounds of golf at Emerald Bay Golf Club, gift certificates to Asiago Skillet, Maas Coffee Roasters and Harry T’s, a canoe or tubing trip from Adventures Unlimited and Krav Maga classes courtesy of Emerald Coast Martial Arts.
“Of course, this is just a sampling of all of the enviable auction packages we have to offer, thanks to the generosity of our community partners,” said Rachel Mayew, development and communications manager with Covenant Hospice.
“The beauty of this online auction is that anyone, anywhere, at any time of the day or night can support Covenant’s mission while scoring great items and experiences for pennies on the dollar.”
Organizers are currently seeking additional items for the online auction series. Businesses and individuals interested in making a tax-deductible donation of an item, gift certificate, professional service or condo stay should contact Mayew at 850-428-0605 or rachel.mayew@covenanthospice.org.
