Heather Pike promoted to marketing manager at Destin Commons

Destin Commons recently announced the promotion of Heather Pike as marketing manager.

“This is a well-deserved career path progression for Heather,” said general manager Bob Perry. “She has been instrumental in taking many of our marketing efforts to new levels of success, including her implementation of activities involved with the grand opening of Destin Commons’ expansion that opened last summer.”

Pike has worked as the marketing coordinator for over a year, and has been involved in many community activities on behalf of Destin Commons with the Destin, Fort Walton and Niceville Chambers of Commerce. At the Destin Chamber, Pike is chairing the Bayou, Bay & Beach full and half-marathon, and she is in the 2014-2015 Destin Forward Leadership class.  She is also the volunteer marketing lead for the Emerald Coast Relay for Life that benefits the American Cancer Society and is a past chair of the Finest on the Emerald Coast event with the Northwest Florida Daily News.

Living in the area for the past 15 years, Pike’s professional background includes working with The Destin Log and Northwest Florida Daily News as an advertising account representative, as well as their marketing and education coordinator with their Newspapers in Education program. Making the Dean’s list for four years, Pike received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing and Management from Florida State University in 2007.
