IMPACT 100 to host grant workshop

Special to The Log

IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida will hold a workshop for Okaloosa and Walton County nonprofit organizations interested in learning about and applying for a 2015 grant from 8:30-10:30 a.m. June 9 in the Fellowship Hall at Grace Lutheran Church in Destin. Although attendance is not required, potential grant applicants are encouraged to attend.

Three grants of $107,667 will be awarded by IMPACT 100 because 323 generous women in Okaloosa and Walton counties each donated $1,000.

Grant applications will be accepted for projects in one of five focus areas: Arts and Culture; Education; Environment, Recreation and Preservation; Family and Health and Wellness.

The 2015 Grant Application, along with guidelines and the review process, will be available May 18 at www.impactnwf.org. For other questions, email impactnwf@gmail.com.

Last year, IMPACT 100 awarded grants of $125,000 to Horizons of Okaloosa County and Shelter House.
