Special to The Log
The presentatiion of toys took place recently at Sunrise Marine. [SPECIAL TO THE LOG]

There will be even more smiling faces this Christmas, thanks to Sunrise Marine. Their Fill the Boat campaign did just that, and three of the charities supported by the Emerald Coast Foundation will see to it the toys get to children in need.

Toys collected were presented at the Sunrise Marine Showroom to three charities representatives by Sunrise Marine personnel and Foundation Vice President Peggy King, along with ECF Board member Shauna Lathem. Receiving gifts for the children in their care are Erin Thatcher and Debbie Smith from The Arc of the Emerald Coast, Laura Moore from Children in Crisis and Todd Gatlin from the Eleanor Johnson Youth Center.

The Emerald Coast Foundation has provided more than $2.5 million to local children's charities over the last 25 years, primarily through their "The Big One" Poker Run held with Boat Week each August. This year's charities include Children in Crisis, The Eleanor Johnson Youth Center, The Arc of the Emerald Coast and the All Sports Association. Only with the support of the community has the foundation been helping local children for 25 years, as Sunrise Marine has proved.
