Local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recognizes contributors

Special to The Log
Megan Hutchison (second from left) presents artwork to the Shoults family as recognition for the entire Southern Vacation Rentals family’s contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation honored Southern Vacation Rentals for its many years of contributions through a gift to owner Mike Shoults, his wife Nancy and their daughter Erin, who manages the Destin Bay House, host to past CF events.

Presented by area teen, 13-year-old Megan Hutchison who was born with cystic fibrosis, the glass painting was donated by local artist Mary Hong, owner of Wired Glass Studio in Destin.

At the upcoming Great Strides Walk at Village Baptist Church in Destin on April 20 and in Pensacola at Seville Square on May 25, participants have the chance to win a Southern Vacation Rentals stay through an event prize drawing.

Local residents are encouraged to attend the Great Strides Destin kick-off at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at a luncheon at Bonefish Grill. To RSVP to attend, email To sign up for Great Strides, visit the CFF website at
