Destin City Hall

All City Council meetings, workshops, executive sessions and CRA Board meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. All other board and committee meetings are held at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail. Meetings are subject to change or cancellation without further notice. Agendas for city committees are posted at City Hall for review.

Digital User Groups

The Destin Library will host an iPad Users Group from 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 30. Call 837-8572.

Mac Users Group

The Mac Users Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at the NWFSC Student Services Building, Room 132. Anne Hornstein will present “Short cuts, Secrets and Simple Hints,” a hands-on, interactive workshop for using a Macintosh computer and iPad. Call 862-3327 or email for information. 

Republican Women

The Republican Women of Okaloosa Federated will meet at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Wyndham Garden Hotel on Okaloosa Island. “The Media in Politics” will be presented by Michael Griffin, a reporter and photographer for the Bay Beacon. Eucheeanna Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Niceville City Hall. Women over the age of 18 are welcome to join. Membership in the NSDAC is an opportunity to honor one’s lineage and heritage as a descendant of the American Colonials.  Call 897-1278.

American Legion

Tri Delta

Friends of the Destin Library

Tena Devereaux will discuss all types of auctions, including things you need to know about buying and selling, at the Friends of the Destin Library meeting at 3 p.m. Feb. 14. This program is free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis. Participants may bring in small items to be appraised at the end of the presentation. Call 837-8572.

Betterment Alliance

Coffee and Cars

Food Buying Club

A small group interested in eating healthy and purchasing smart meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at 125 Scottsdale Court in Mary Esther. On the second Tuesday, the group meets at Fountain Square in downtown Fort Walton Beach for the Growing Local film series. Call 863-4040.

Kiwanis Club of Destin

The Kiwanis Club of Destin meets every Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Destin Methodist Church Life Center on Beach Drive in Destin. The public is invited to attend the club’s weekly meetings.

Flotilla 1-4 USCG Auxiliary

Flotilla 1-4 USCG Auxiliary meets at 8 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month at Coast Guard Station Destin on Okaloosa Island. Anyone wishing to become a member is welcome to attend. Prior military duty is not required. Call 865-9130 or email
