Destin City Hall

All City Council meetings, workshops, executive sessions and CRA Board meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. All other board and committee meetings are held at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail.

Republican Club

The Okaloosa County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at American Legion Post 235, 105 S.W. Hollywood Blvd. Bruce Miller, public defender for the 1st Judicial Circuit of Florida, will be the guest speaker and discuss the functions of his office and give his perspective on the judicial process. Price of dinner is $15 and includes drinks and gratuity. Music club

The Choctaw Bay Music Club will meet at 3 p.m. March 1 at the Brooks Beal Center, 100 Beal Pkwy NE in Fort Walton Beach. Garry James, the “Blues Guy,” will play his guitar.


The Mac Users Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 3 at the NWFSC Student Services Building — Room 132. Ray Muston will present a two-part program. The first half hour will cover some basics of the Contacts application — adding, editing, removing contacts plus creating and using groups. Republican Women

Genealogy Society

The Genealogy Society of Okaloosa County will meet at 10 a.m. March 8 at Heritage Museum in Valparaiso. Dotty Burdick, regent of the Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be guest speaker. 

Friends of the Destin Library

The Friends of the Destin Library will meet at 3 p.m. March 14 for a presentation by Kim Mosby, owner of Sunshine Yoga, on yoga techniques to help alleviate arthritis pain and bring back movement to the body. Food Buying Club

A small group interested in eating healthy and purchasing smart meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at 125 Scottsdale Court in Mary Esther. On the second Tuesday, the group meets at Fountain Square in downtown Fort Walton Beach for the Growing Local film series. Call 863-4040.

Kiwanis Club of Destin

The Kiwanis Club of Destin meets every Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Destin Methodist Church Life Center on Beach Drive in Destin. The public is invited to attend the club’s weekly meetings.

Flotilla 1-4 USCG Auxiliary
