Sacred Heart Hospital

• Breast cancer support group: Meets at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center. Call 278-3980.
•Joint replacement:An education class at 1 p.m. Aug. 18 will be held in the hospital’s Resource Center Suite 3 conference room. To attend, call Linda Ledford at 278-3646.
•Diabetes classes: Jenny Stuckey, registered nurse and certified diabetes educator, will host self-management classes from 12-4:30 p.m. Aug. 20 and 21 in the Resource Center Suite 1 education building at Sacred Heart for adults with diabetes who are looking for ways to manage their disease. Pre-registration required and a physician referral is needed to attend. Call 278-3683.
• Online childbirth class: Families will learn about the stages of labor, comfort techniques, common medical procedures, including epidurals and cesareans, and newborn and postpartum care. Engaging videos, personal birth stories, 3D animations, games, and activities make learning easy and fun. Rolling registration. Cost is $35.
SacredHeart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host the Oneblood mobile unit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at the main entrance of the hospital. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and a meal ticket to the hospital’s café. Oneblood will also provide a free wellness check for all blood donors, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.
Skin cancer seminar
Sacred Heart and Dr. Layne Fielder, dermatologist with Coastal Skin Surgery and Dermatology, for a free seminar “Skin Cancer Awareness” at 10 a.m. Aug. 27 in the Suite 3 Conference Room at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
