Destin City Hall

All City Council meetings, workshops, executive sessions and CRA Board meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. All other board and committee meetings are held at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail.

Garden Club

Valparaiso Garden Club will meet at 9 a.m. Sept. 9 in the community room at the Valparaiso Community Library, 459 Valparaiso Parkway. The program will be an overview of plans and projects for the year. In addition, a propagation technique will be demonstrated and horticulture and designs brought in by members will be critiqued as an educational effort toward learning appropriate entries for flower shows.

The Happy Hearts

An Adult Senior Ministry of Village Baptist Church, The Happy Hearts will meet at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at Golden Corral. Buffet lunch is $8, no credit cards. Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church, 134 Beal Parkway SW in Fort Walton Beach. The Genealogy Society of Okaloosa County will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida. GSOC Genealogist, Margaret Harris, will give the program on "Tap the Source: Researching by Location."

Embroiderers' Guild

The Sand Dunes Chapter of Embroiderers' Guild of America will meet for a stitch-in from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Religious Education building, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Valparaiso Boulevard in Niceville.
