Wine Dinner

Best of the Emerald Coast

EC Magazine will host its 16th annual Best of the Emerald Coast from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 24 at Grand Boulevard Sandestin. Benefiting the Junior League of the Emerald Coast, this celebration honors top restaurants, services and businesses. Tickets may be purchased in advance at emeraldcoastmagazine.com/Best-of-the-Emerald-Coast for $30. General admission will be $40 at the door. For $75, guests may upgrade to a true VIP experience with a private lounge, additional food and drink and a gift bag filled with deals from around the region.

Festival of the Arts

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts the 20th annual Festival of the Arts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. The festival showcases the original artwork of more than 100 artists and features a live music lineup, art activities for kids, souvenir posters and T-shirts, art raffle and more. A food bistro, wine and beer garden as well as convenient parking and motor coach shuttle are also available. Tickets are $5/adults and children under 12 are free. Call 650-2226.

ADSO window display

During October, The Arts and Design Society presents in studio windows that face First Street in Fort Walton Beach the works of Lucy Foote, who works in oils, acrylic, and digital art.

Lip Sync Battle

Emerald Coast Theatre Company will host the first ever Emerald Coast Lip Sync Battle at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach. An evening of music, dance and fun offers the perfect opportunity for local stars to enjoy their “15 minutes of fame” in the spotlight. Prizes will awarded for Best Costume, Best Dance Move, Best Solo, Best Duet, Best Trio and Overall Lip Sync Battle Winner 2015. Northwest Florida Ballet

ArtWalk on the Harbor

HarborWalk Village becomes a mini art district as dozens of artists showcase their creative artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary art, jewelry, paintings, handcrafted items and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 at HarborWalk Village. Also, music on main stage. Held third Sunday of each month.

Independent Film Series

The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will sponsor a movie, "Words & Pictures," a witty romantic drama, at 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Destin Library. The program is free and open to the public. Films are unrated and directed toward mature audiences.

Bourbon at the Bay

Kick off the holiday season with the Third Annual Bourbon at the Bay sponsored by Coastal Bank and Trust. Sample bourbon, scotch, champagne, and bourbon-infused fudge, try your luck in the wine pull, and bid on your choice of gifts, trips, and more in the silent auction from 5:30-8 p.m. Nov. 19 at Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club. Nighttime Educational Beach Walks

Learn about sea turtles, their nesting habits and other wildlife along the beaches of Okaloosa Island and Destin at 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays through November.
