Destin City Hall

All City Council meetings, workshops, executive sessions and CRA Board meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. All other board and committee meetings are held at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail.

Genealogy Society

The Genealogy Society of Okaloosa County will meet at 10 a.m. May 14 at the Museum of Northwest Florida in Valparaiso. The program will be a round table discussion and sharing of Civil War ancestors. Visitors are always welcome and may come and share also. Please notify our program chairman when you come in if you wish to share.

Republican Women

The Walton Republican Women Federated will meet at 11 a.m. May 18 at Cantina Laredo, 585 Grand Boulevard. This month’s program will be District 5, State Representative Brad Drake. Horticulture Studies

The Tri-County Horticulture Studies Group will meet at 10 a.m. May 26 at the Valparaiso Library, Room 3, 459 Valparaiso Parkway. The program, given by Escambia County Horticulture Extension Agent Beth Bolles, will be “Insects, Arthropods, and Other Animals of Importance in Gardens.” Following the program, a field trip to Valparaiso Garden Club’s award winning Paradise Gardens, a garden for pollinators, will be offered. After visiting Paradise Gardens, participants are invited to a plant sale and tour of the Harrison garden at 166 Edge Ave., Valparaiso. Proceeds will benefit Paradise Gardens.
