HarborWalk Village staff presented the Emerald Coast Fitness Foundation (ECFF) with a check for $3,881.76 to help support their efforts in re-opening the Destin Aquatic Center after its closure almost two years ago.

The donation was made possible through the participation of more than 700 spirited guests that marched through HarborWalk Village for the largest pub crawl this side of the Blarney Stone, the 2017 HarborWalk Village Grogg March.

HarborWalk Village hosts 120 events a year, most of which raise proceeds in support of local non-profit 501(c)3 organizations.

"We at the Emerald Grande and HarborWalk Village love our community and are thankful that through our many events we are able to partner with local organizations to help make a difference,” said Samantha Barrett, general marketing manager of the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village.

Proceeds from the Grogg March will help ECFF in their efforts to re-open the Destin Aquatic Center and establish a program that will offer a full range of aquatic activities for the local community, such as competition pool, recreational pool, and revitalizing the fitness trail.
