The Junior League of the Emerald Coast’s 3rd Annual Derby Party will be held from 3-7 p.m. May 6 at Emerald Bay Golf Club with a live showing of the running of the 143rd Kentucky Derby along with a silent auction, Run for the Roses Raffle and contests like Best Derby Hat, Best Dressed Couple, Best Bow Tie, and Biggest Hat. Community Yard Sale
The Destin Community Center will host a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon May 6 at Dewey “Buck” Destin Park, 724 Legion Drive. Anyone interested in selling their belongings can sign up for a fee of $15/residents, $20/non-residents and free for members of the Destin Seniors. This fee includes one table and chair on a section of the basketball court. Set-up will begin at 7 a.m. Parking will be at Destin Assembly of God (next door). State of the County
The League of Women Voters of Okaloosa County will host its 18th Annual State of the County Report from 10 a.m. to noon May 6 at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, 34 Miracle Strip Parkway SE in Fort Walton Beach. The panel features County Commissioner Graham Fountain, School Board Chair Lamar White and Clerk of Courts JD Peacock. Keller Williams Realty Emerald Coast is seeking non-perishable food donations and pajamas for the kids at Children in Crisis. Donations can be dropped off at any of the KW offices in Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, or 30A by May 9.

Tai Chi Class

The Destin Library's new Code Club, dedicated to enhancing the programming and coding education of today’s youth by providing free programming materials to schools and libraries, is open to children in fifth through eighth grades.
