Destin Library celebrates Banned Books Week

The American Library Association established Banned Books Week, scheduled from Sept. 24-30, is annually celebrated during the last week of September as a way to raise awareness about the continued efforts to ban books in schools, bookstores and libraries. The Destin Library encourages community members to celebrate the freedom to read by visiting the library to explore the history of banned books and learn which of your favorite books are still subject to challenge today.
