Hayes to perform for Destin Woman's Club
The backdrop for the Destin Woman’s Club Christmas meeting was the Tuscany Italian Bistro. The group was entertained by Carol Hayes, a violin virtuosa.
Hayes has been playing the violin since the age of 8, following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather who both played "folk fiddle."
Hayes was the principle violinist for 22 years in the United States Marine Chamber Orchestra, stationed in the entrance of the White House. During her years of service, she played for five US presidents: Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton. She has also played for world dignitaries, including Margaret Thatcher, prime ministers of Singapore, Israel, Thailand, Japan, and Australia, the presidents of Germany, Italy, Egypt and Queen Elizabeth of England.
No Christmas party would be complete without a visit from Santa.
