Accomplished musician and performer David Seering, accompanied by pianist Bobby Van Deusen and vocalist Amanda Holmes, delighted a near sell-out crowd at the seventh annual David Seering and Friends Concert and raised $24,000 for Children in Crisis. This pushed the seven-year total to more than $140,000 for the at-risk children living at the CIC Neighborhood.

The concert was held recently at the Village Baptist Church in Destin and all proceeds were donated to help feed, clothe and care for the foster children at CIC. Each year about 100 children have a safe, secure, loving home thanks to the great support of the community.

Seering has received many accolades throughout his career and has performed for three former presidents. He calls the Emerald Coast home and he’s always looking for ways to give back to the community.

“David always raises the bar high and we are very thankful that he and his friends donated their time and talents to benefit CIC’s kids,” said Ken Hair, president/CEO of Children in Crisis. “The event was a huge success and we can’t thank David and all the supporters of CIC enough.”
